== Kimm Scripts – Jumping Fountains ==

Thank you for purchasing this Kimmscripts product.

The script comes in two versions:
* nomod/copy/notrans for personal use
* nomod/copy/trans for builders use

The script is very configurable and will support a number of jumping fountains in various combinations, including the option for a remote control box to turn the display on and off.

Configuration is performed using drag-and-drop to add notecards to the prim containing the script.  A range of sample notecards are provided with the script to be dragged into the prims contents.

For example, to set up a 4 fountain display with an on/off control box:
a) Create 5 linked prims
b) drag the “long_droplet” texture to the 4 prims to become fountains
c) drag one of each of the “fountain=N” notecards to the 4 prims to become fountains
d) drag the “autotimings” notecard to all 5 prims
e) drag the “controlbox” notecard to the prim to become the control box

If you want a sequenced display, the prims must be linked and will trigger in the order of the fountain numbers – 1, 2, 3 then 4, as specified by the “fountain=N” notecards.

The display triggers automatically and will keep triggering after a short, random time.

== Advanced Configuration Options ==

The script is configured by dragging various notecards into the prim’s contents.  The full list of notecards (a selection of which are provided with the script, for easy “dragging” into the prim) are described below.

=== Fountain Appearance ===

* random – use random colours for the fountains
* dark – limit the fountains to dark colours only (more the deep reds, purples and blacks, etc).  Use with random.
* glow – enable glow (fountains look better with glow, especially at night)

=== Fountain Timings ===

* pause=A.B – set the pause between fountains triggering in sequence to A.B (decimal, in seconds) – this will affect how long each fountain will wait after the previous one in the sequence to trigger.
* duration=A.B – set the lenght of time that the fountain water stream is visible after being emitted to A.B (decimal, in seconds) – this affects the “length” of the fountain i.e. the speed of the water once produced
* source=A.B – set the length of time that the prim spends emitting the fountain to A.B (decimal, in seconds) – this affects how long the prim spends producing water

Note for a coherent fountain display, these timings should probably be the same in all fountain prims.

=== Fountain Control ===

* fountain=A – set the fountain sequence numbers – fountains will trigger in numerical sequence, starting with 1,2,3,etc
* controlbox – make this prim a control box only – i.e. it won’t actually produce a fountain of its own, but can be used to turn the others on and off (assuming autotimings has been enabled).
* touch – the fountain will only trigger on touch rather than automatically (not compatible with autotimings)
* autotimings – the fountains will trigger automatically (not compatible with touch)
* onoffcontrol – for use with autotimings, turn the automatic production of fountains on and off (required for controlbox to make any sense, but also can be used in the fountains themselves if required).
* quiet – for use with onoffcontrol – disables the chat messages about turning fountains on or off

== Example Configurations ==

=== Simple automatic 4-fountain display ===

Use 4 prims, all linked containing the long_droplet texture, and add the following to each prim to adjust timings:
* pause=5.0
* duration=2.0
* source=2.0

Prim 1:
* fountain=1
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 2:
* fountain=2
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 3:
* fountain=3
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 4:
* fountain=4
* glow
* autotimings

=== Dual automatic 4+4 fountain display ===

Create 8 prims, all linked containing the long_droplet texture.  Prims 1 and 5 trigger together, then prims 2 and 6, then 3 and 7 and finally 4 and 8.

Prim 1:
* fountain=1
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 2:
* fountain=2
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 3:
* fountain=3
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 4:
* fountain=4
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 5:
* fountain=1
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 6:
* fountain=2
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 7:
* fountain=3

=== Touch-controlled 2 fountain display ===

Create 2 linked prims both containing the long_droplet texture.  the fountain triggers once when touched.

Prim 1:
* fountain=1
* glow
* touch

Prim 2:
* fountain=2
* glow
* touch

=== Touch-controlled 2 fountain display with a control box ===

Create 3 linked prims, two for fountains, each  containing the long_droplet texture, and one for the control box.  The fountain triggers randomly when the control box turns them on, until the control turns them off again.

Prim 1 (control box):
* controlbox
* onoffcontrol
* autotimings

Prim 2:
* fountain=1
* glow
* autotimings

Prim 3:
* fountain=2
* glow
* autotimings
